Chapter 41: The Resistance

"Dugtrio!!!!!" said Giovanni's Dugtrio, causing a very heavy rumble in the gym, and a giant crack started to break the arena.
"Porygon!" said Jake, caught off guard by Giovanni's surprise attack. The ground was all dusty, not much could be made. Eventually, the dust cleared, and revealed Porygon was safely floating above the fissure. "Alright Porygon!" said Jake, disovering his Porygon can float.
"Oh no!" said Giovanni, realizing he is done for.
"Now Porygon, Ice Beam!" commanded Jake, and Porygon blasted a blue beam from its nose, freezing and fainting Dugtrio.
"Alright! We won!" said Ash.
"Great job Porygon!" said Jake, deciding not to point out to Ash that it was he who did most of the work.
Giovanni stood at the other side of the arena, clearly not pleased he lost.
"Are you going to give back Pikachu now?" asked Ash impatiently. Giovanni smiled.
"No, I have other plans." He said, pressing a button on the side of his throne. Just then, the two walls to the side of the room and the one in front opened to reveal around 70 Rocket Grunts. The Rocket Grunts tossed Poke Ball after Poke Ball, releasing various Pokemon, led by a Blastoise.
"Blastoise!" said the Blastoise, and the army of Pokemon charged to Ash, Misty, Brock and Jake.
"Oh shit!" said Jake. "Guys, we're going to have to use all our Pokemon!" he commanded.
"Right." said Brock. "Go Geodude, Onix, Zubat & Vulpix!"
"Geodude." said Geodude.
"Iwaaaaa!" said Onix.
"Creeee." said Zubat.
"Vulpix!" said Vulpix.
"Go Staryu, Goldeen and Psyduck!" said Misty, throwing her three Poke Balls.
"Hi-ya!" said Staryu.
"Goldeen!" said Goldeen.
"Psy-duck!" said Psyduck.
Ash turned his hat backwards and tossed five Poke Ball's. "Pidgeotto, Bulbasaur, Charizard, Squirtle and Muk, lets go!"
"Pidgeot!" said Pidgeotto.
"Bubba-SAUR!" said Bulbasaur.
Charizard did not say anything, and instead lazilly rested on the ground.
"Squirtle!" said Squirtle with its stupid nasally voice.
"Muuuuuk!" said Muk, having no experience in being a trained Pokemon despite being captured 3 months ago.

The next 15 minutes saw a tremendous all-out brawl between Team Rocket and Ash and his friends, and Jake. Eventually, the good guys won, and each Rocket Grunt retreated after their Pokemon lost their respective battles. Giovanni was left alone in the room, just as he was before.
"Are you going to concede now?" Asked Jake.
Giovanni looked, and quickly armed himself with a pistol he brandished out of his jacket pocket. "No, I'm just going to kill you now!" All of a sudden, a Zubat quickly flew to Giovanni's hand and grabbed the pistol with its mouth. "Huh?" Giovanni said, then reaching into his other jacket pocket, he pulls out another pistol. "Time to die!" he said, and the Zubat flew from behind him, and grabbed the other pistol like it did before.
"Zubat, SUPERSONIC!" commanded Brock.
"Creeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!" shrieked Zubat, attacking Giovanni with supersonic waves.
"Yaaaaah!" said Giovanni, cusping his hands to his ears to cover them.
"Staryu! Swift!" said Misty.
"Hi-ya!" said Staryu, and shooting stars from its red jewel, Giovanni was getting hurt.
"Pidgeotto, Gust!" commanded Ash.
"Pidgeottttt!" said Pidgeotto, flapping its wings creating a gust of wind hoping to knock Giovanni away. Giovanni tried to resist, but Pidgeotto's Heavy Gusts blew him out a large window, breaking it in the process.

Ash, Misty, Brock and Jake exited the Gym, and found that Giovanni had been blown into a dumpster. Giovanni crawled out of the garbage, his head was so swollen and red, it was reminiscient of an overripe tomato.
"Alright! Fine!" said Giovanni. "You can have your wretched Pikachu back!" he said, apparently giving in to children beating him up. He reached into his jacket, and pulled out a Poke Ball and gave it to Ash.
"Alright! Go Pikachu!" Ash said. The energy released from the Poke Ball formed into Pikachu, its head and hands stupidly cowaring the Hell that was the Poke Ball. "Pikachu!" said Ash.
"Pikapi!" said Pikachu, happy to see Ash.
"I thought you were gone forever!" Ash said.
"Pikachuuu!" Pikachu responded.
"You're also the Gym Leader aren't you?" Jake asked to Giovanni. "Ash came here for a Badge. Since we beat you, give us badges!" he ordered.
"Alright, fine." Giovanni said. He pulled out of his Pocket an Earth Badge and gave it to Ash.
"Alright! I got, the Earth Badge!" said Ash, posing with his final badge needed to participate in the Pokemon League.
"Say, can I have a badge too?" asked Jake. "I mean, I haven't even been to Cinnabar Island yet, but..."
"You mean you don't even have seven badges?" asked Giovanni. "Then you shouldn't have even been able to battle me!" said Giovanni, breaking the forth wall.
"Oh, well... can I have the badge anyway?" asked Jake.
Giovanni searched through his jacket. "Now, where did I leave that Sawn-Off Shotgun?" he asked to himself.
"Nevermind!" and Jake walked off, with Ash, Misty & Brock following.

Meanwhile, back inside the gym, the Team Rocket's Blastoise was battling Ash's Charizard. Ash, Misty, Brock and Jake walked back into the arena to recall all their Pokemon. Charizard was in the heat of the battle, and Blastoise locked on, and blasted a mighty Hydro Pump, aiming at Charizard's tail.
"Lizardoooooo!" said Charizard, as Blastoise's Hydro Pump actually put out the flame on Charizard's tail, causing the Fire Dragon Pokemon to faint.
"Oh no! Charizard!" Shouted a concerned Ash.
"If we don't get it to the Pokemon Center quick, it'll die!" said Jake.
Ash, Misty, Brock and Jake rushed to the Pokemon Center.
