Chapter 22: Say a Prayer in the Darkness for the Magic to come.

Authors Note: For the next few chapters, unless otherwise noted, videos posted are apart of the story.

It was a Friday night, the streets of Saffron City were filled with young men & women primped up as they do when people go out for the night. In a tall hotel right on the Saffron Strip, Jake was in the bathroom preparing himself for the night. Earlier that day, he won a ticket to see a concert in a raffle. The concert was for a show by “Ellen Aim and the Attackers,” an 80s-style band. The concert was to be performed at the “Toppola Theater of Saffron”, known for it’s wide open space, flashing neon light sculptures, and the awesome raves put on. It was only 7:00PM, and the concert wasn’t until 10:00PM, so after leaving his hotel room, Jake went out to explore the strip. He entered a small nightclub within the strip. The music inside the nightclub was so rockin he just couldn’t help but fist-pump, cheer and sing along.

“WOOH! Fuck yes!” said Jake, as the singer concluded.
“Well what do you know!?” said a familiar voice to Jake. “How you doing, man?” it was Adam!
“Heeeey bro! Awesome show wasn’t it?” Jake asked. The two of them left the club together and started walking down the strip.
“Dude, you gotta love Rock n Roll in the Pokemon World!” Adam responded.
“I’m going to a show tonight, Ellen Aim!” Jake said.
“Huh, enjoy yourself.” Said Adam, his tone turning passive.
“What’s wrong?” Jake asked.
“Oh, nothing important.” Adam answered, “How much you think a ticket would cost?” he asked.
“About $40.” Jake responded. “You’re gonna go?”
“Sure, why not?” said Adam.
The strip was filled with a lot of night animals, a lot of them dressed in bright neon clothes, and a lot of females wore glittery makeup and had one-sided ponytails.
“So you’ve gotten your Rainbow Badge?” asked Jake to Adam.
“Yeah.” Adam answered. “I had trouble in the Gym Battle because my Charizard was disobedient, but I won, and now it’s obeying.”
“That’s nice to hear, Charizard’s are pretty awesome Pokemon.” Jake said.
“By the way, have you gotten a letter like this?” Adam showed Jake the letter he got from the Carrier Pidgey. Jake read through the letter.
“No, I haven’t. This sounds pretty cool! I hope I get an invitation.” Jake said.
“It seems to me the host is inviting a lot of trainers for a big tournament.” Adam said. “I’m sure you’ll get your invitation.”
“Come, it’s almost 10:00PM!” Jake said, rushing off with Adam following.
Jake and Adam arrived at the Topolla Theater in time for Ellen Aim. “Oh man, this is going to be greeeaaaaaattttt!” said an excited Jake.
“I hope this’ll be worth it!” said Adam, a little less excited. Suddenly the crowd started clapping in unison and rhythm.
“Alright everyone, it is time!” said an announcer, and a Machop took hold of the drums and two Male Wigglytuff holding electric guitars and dressed in blue suits walked up to the mics. “Wigg… Tuff… ONE TWO THREE!” the Wigglytuff’s shouted, and the Machop started banging his drums and the pianist started playing. The crowd cheered like crazy.

“YEAH! ALRIGTH!” Jake said, cheering and whistling. Adam seemed to also be enjoying himself. Just then, a ruckus appeared on the stage, and several men had attacked the Wigglytuffs, and started harassing Ellen.
“Hey, what is this?” asked Adam. Adam took a close look at the one attacking Ellen. Something seemed familiar about him. People were grabbing at Pokeball’s hoping their Pokemon would be able to help, but the stage room was too crowded and outraged for anyone to manage to do it.
“Let’s get out of here.” Said Jake grabbing Adam’s arm. “I have an idea.” Jake and Adam ran out to the front of the theater. “There!” said Jake, pointing at a group of motorcycles.
“So what’s your plan?” asked Adam, as he and Jake ran to the bikes.
“It’s set up for them to quickly escape, so they’ll have the keys in the ignition.” Jake said. “You know how to drive?”
“Sure, but what are you going to do?” Adam asked. Jake hopped into a sidecar, choosing which bike to steal.
“My Porygon knows Ice Beam, it’ll help us stop them. Go PORYGON!” said Jake, releasing his Porygon and holding it to his front as if it were a weapon.
Adam sat on the motorbike and put on a helmet. “Then let’s save Ellen Aim!” he said.

To Be Continued.
