Chapter 36: John

It was a bright day in the three story house to the side of the corner of the block on Purple Avenue. Purple Avenue was a middle class, suburban neighborhood in Pallet Town. Inside the three story house there lived a boy who had just turned ten years old and was going to become a Pokemon trainer, but with a twist.
His name was John, and his father was a pioneer in the Pokemon Training community. John's father was the inventor of the Random TM. By using a Random TM, you could make any Pokemon do anything for you. That's right, anything. If you want it to transform into a car, it could do it. If you want your Pokemon to create instant cash, a Random TM could do it. The Random TM was so powerful it was a flop, but he was given 50 Random TMs to use in his Pokemon Journey, so he had to use them wisely.
"All right, I'm ready to begin!" said John, who walked out of his house and to Professor Oak's house. When he approached the door, a new trainer walked out, he had a Pikachu with a pair of sunglasses on.
"Hello! I'm Carl!" said the trainer. "I just started my Pokemon Journey and this is my Pikachu, Ace! Say hi Ace!"
"Pika!" said Ace.
"Okay bye!" said Carl, and he walked off. Without saying anything, John went inside.
"Hello Professor Oak, I'm here for a Pokemon." said John to Professor Oak.
"Oh John. Good to see you. Sorry if I look vexxed, but that Carl kid freaking begged me for Pikachu." Went the Professor. "I had a perfectly good Nidoran (M) and an Ekans for him to choose from, but he whined like a baby until I gave him a Pikachu. Anyway."
"Which Pokemon do you have for me?" asked John.
"Ah John, I have a Mankey. Here you go." Professor Oak.
"Thanks Professor Oak. Go Mankey!" John said, unleashing Mankey out. He took out a Random TM, and wrote onto it's label "Punch the Ground." He then broke open the Random TM, and the powder cackled on and around Mankey. "Let's go Mankey!"
"Mmnn-keeee!" said Mankey, following John out of the lab.

John had left Pallet Town but did not walk in the direction of Viridian City. Instead, he and Mankey travelled east, and it turned out the path was very rocky. John started to worry that he was lost.
"Hmmm, looks like now would be a good time to make a new TM." he said.
"Mankey!" said Mankey. John took out a Random TM, wrote onto its label "Call a Helicopter" and broke it onto Mankey.
"Alright Mankey, Call a Helicopter!" John told Mankey.
Mankey puffed in and yelled "MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNKKKKKYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!"
All of a sudden, from the distance, a helicopter appeared. It was black, and had a red R on its side. It slowly descended toward John and Mankey, until it fully landed, and its propeller slowed. John opened the door. "Huh? How did I get here?" asked the Helicopter Pilot.
"Never mind that now, can you take me to Viridian City?" John asked.
"No, the boss would never allow it!" Said the Pilot, and quickly ascended, John quickly grabbed onto the bottom rails.
"Return Mankey!" John said, recalling Mankey who would have been left behind. "Now, if I could just open that door." Suddenly, the Helicopter was really high up, but John was just casually holding onto the bars. "Maybe I have a crowbar in here..." he said going through his back pack. Just then, a Poke Ball fell out of the back pack and onto the ground. "Oh no! Oh wait, here it is!" he said, finding his crowbar. He pryed the helicopter door open and quickly bashed the helicopter pilot's head with the crowbar. John then took control of the helicopter, and descended it down to the ground, landing. John then took the unconscious body of the helicopter pilot outside of the helicopter for him to live. He found the Poke Ball that had fallen out of the back pack. He picked it up, and it popped open to reveal an energy materialization into a Geodude!
"Geodude!" said Geodude.
"Alright! I got a Geodude!" John said. John then went back into the Helicopter, and ascended and travelled toward Viridian City. At airborne, he would be there in no more than 15 minutes.

John was almost at Viridian City, the small skyline was in view.
"R-242, R-366 do you copy?" said what sounded like a radio broadcast. "Be on the lookout for a Blue or Orange glow believed to be escaped Team Rocket experiments Operation I.S.E. and I.S.A."
"Hmmm..." this news caught John's attention, and he noticed a notepad. He read the notepad which appeared to be a log of some sort. He read what was apparently yesterday's log.

March 20th, 2000

My copilot and I made a remarkable discovery on the look out for the missing specimens, a glow was discovered in the Mountains of Mystery. It was a strange Green glow, but I figure its our best lead yet. We're gonna check it out after his day off tomorrow. Can't wait!

"Then that settle's it, we're gonna go to the Mountains of Mystery!" said John. "Let's go!!!"
"Mankey!" said Mankey.
"Geodude!" said Geodude.
