Chapter 88: The Turn of Everything

3 Days has passed since Jason and Adam’s Pokemon League battle and it’s subsequent incident...
Morning
The story has brought us to the Viridian City Yamauchi Memorial Human Hospital. Floor 3, Ward 3 in the ICU Hallways. All three rooms in the ward were occupied by patients.
In the first room was one young boy. His body was wrapped in a full body cast, and all appendages were held suspended in the air. The patient’s name was Jamie, and every single bone in his body was broken, but he was somehow still alive.
“Help me! HELP ME!” Jamie screamed, while sticking out of a 3rd Story window of a big, abandoned house.
“Huh? Jamie? How did you get up there?” Professor Oak responded, across the street from the abandoned house on his front porch.
“Oh, thank God! Professor Oak, you have to help me.” Jamie said with desperation. “Do you have any Pokemon that could Fly?” he asked.
“Hmmm, well, I’m not sure.” Professor Oak answered going through his coat.
“Oh come on, you’re Professor Oak!” Jamie said. “You HAVE to have a Pokemon that can fly up here and rescue me!”
“Hmmm, well, oh! I have this!” he said, taking out a Poke Ball and throwing it...
“Cle-FABLE!” said the Clefable coming out of Professor Oak’s Poke Ball, fluttering in the air with the wings on its back giving it the ability to Fly.
“Ah... no Professor, a BIRD!” Jamie reacted with annoyance. “Something that could actually CARRY me!”
“I have a lot of Pokemon in my lab...” Professor Oak said. “It’ll take some time for me to find a Flying type Pokemon, I’ll go look but ride this Clefable if you want.”
“I’M NOT RIDING THAT THING!” Jamie screamed hysterically. “I’ll just JUMP down.”
“Uh... Jamie, I don’t think that’s a good idea at all.” Professor Oak said.
“Well, you’re of no help!” Jamie responded. Jamie then climbed onto the window, preparing himself to fall off. Before Professor Oak could even say a word, Jamie had started to fall. Professor Oak stood there observing. His jaw was dropped agape and he was filled with sorrow witnessing a 10 year old child falling from a third-story window.
*THUMP*
*WHAM*
*ROLL*
*THUD*
Upon impact of the ground, Jamie’s body bounced off the grass, and started to roll down the steep, rocky hill, smashing into the trash cans on the street, and eventually stopping on the other side of the road, right at the bottom of Professor Oak’s stairway.
“... Oh my God!” Professor Oak shouted in pure shock. Just then, the front doors of the abandoned mansion opened, out came two kids holding a flashlight and a scary sheet ghost.
“Oh no! What happened? We didn’t mean to hurt him!” said one of the kids.
An ambulance eventually arrived to help Jamie...

Jamie continued to lie in his hospital bed, fast asleep.
In the Second room of the ward was occupied by two friends named John and Psycho. A couple days ago, they were victim of a motorcycle accident in Fuchsia City, but according to the police, no motorcycle was found. Both patients just suffered skin abrasions and no serious injuries, they were on their way to a full recovery. The two were awake watching and enjoying Tom & Jerry on the hospital Tv.
The Third room of the ward was occupied by two patients just recently admitted into the hospital, the victims of the incident at Indigo Plateau, Jason and Adam. Both sustained heavy injuries and many skin lacerations from the explosion the two were caught in, but both will be alright.
Afternoon
Jamie was awake, but still inside his body cast. His mom, and Professor Oak were visiting him. Jamie’s mom was crying her eyes out. “Jamie, how could you possibly have been so stupid to jump out of a third story window?” she asked her son.
“Mom, I was frightened.” Jamie responded. “There was a ghost in that house and I didn’t want to see it again!”
“You even did it in front of Professor Oak. Do you realize the pain he went through watching you attempt to kill yourself? He seriously thought you were dead!” Jamie’s mom said.
“You’re just very lucky the ambulance came quickly, I had no real time to deal with your body.” Professor Oak said.
“I’m sorry Professor...” Jamie said, likely insincerely.
“Anyway, your doctor says you’ll be on your way out soon, now get out and have your Pokemon journey. Don’t worry about the Secrets.” Professor Oak said.
“Alright Professor, I will!” Jamie said.
John and Psycho were still in their hospital beds and clothes drinking good hospital water and watching Pokemon, laughing at the meta and paradox such an activity is causing. “Haha, God Ash is a moron.” John said. “And what’s up with this Team Rocket these days anyway?”
“Good question. They’re somewhere out there.” Psycho answered.
“Ohh, I suddenly have a great idea!” John said, taking out one of his Poke Ball’s. “Go Slowpoke!”
“Slowpoke!” Slowpoke said.
“Nurse, Nuuuu-rse!” John said, calling for his nurse.
“Yes?” The nurse said, walking into the room.
“Slowpoke! Use Transform Opponent into a Clown on her!” John commanded.
“Slowpoke!” Slowpoke said, and the nurse transformed into a dancing clown.
“Hahaha!” Psycho laughed.
“Alright Slowpoke, change her back!” John commanded. The nurse then returned to normal. “Haha, guess what nurse?”
“Yes?” the nurse responded.
“I just transformed you into a clown!” John said, blurting it out.
“What? No you didn’t...” the nurse said.
“Yes I did, and I can prove it!” John said. “Go Geodude!”
“Geodude!” said Geodude.
“Alright Geodude, use Create Video Camera!” John commanded.
“Geodude!” Geodude said, as it put its arms across its back, and pulled out a video camera!
“Great work Geodude.” John said.
“Hey, how did your Pokemon do that?” asked the nurse.
“Slowpoke, use Transform Opponent into a Clown on her again!” John commanded to Slowpoke.
“Slooooooow!” Slowpoke said, and the nurse again transformed into a dancing clown.
“Now! Lets record this bitch!” John said, hitting the “Record” button on the video camera, recording the antics of the nurse, magically transformed into a clown.
“Hahahahaha!” Psycho laughed, along with his best friend.
Inside the third room, Adam and Jason were in their respective hospital beds, awake but covered in bandages. It was pretty evident they were going to be in the hospital for awhile. Neither were saying anything to each other. Jason expressed to himself anger, contempt and jealousy.
All of a sudden the doctor who was tending to Jason and Adam walked in. “And how are we, this afternoon?” The Doctor said to Jason and Adam.
“I’m doing okay. Feel a little giddy, but I know I’ll be 100% tomorrow.” Adam answered. Jason did not answer at all.
“Well, the two of you should know you’re onto a fine recovery, you’ll be back on your Pokemon journey’s soon.” The Doctor said.
“Hey Doctor, I have a question. Did the doctors at the Pokemon Center find out what was wrong with Mewtwo?” Adam asked. Jason responded to this by growling, as if it was something he forgot about, but wanted it to stay that way.
“Well, they are doing physical tests on him, but the results won’t be in until later.” The Doctor answered. “Well boys, I have other patients to tend to. I’ll be back to check on you later.” The Doctor finished, and he walked out of the room.
“I cannot believe this.” Jason said, breaking his silence. “I have all 4 Official Kanto Legendaries, including Mewtwo, the most Powerful Pokemon in existence...”
“Jason, I really don’t know how you did all that, the Legendaries were supposed to be very well-hidden...” Adam said. “Get pissed off at this statement if you want, but I think you’re cheating somehow.”
Jason rose up in his bed, stared at Adam very stringently and said in a calmish tone “I swear I’m going to fucking kill you.” Jason maintained a very private look in his eyes, as if he knew Adam knew too much.
“Jason...” Adam said. “You used to be my best friend.”
Evening
Jamie was in his room, and he had been freed from his body cast. His body was fully healed. “Oh, I am SO HAPPY to be able to move again!” Jamie said. “I swear to not worry about anymore Secrets, I’m gonna go on my Badge Quest!”
“I am so happy you are doing alright.” The nurse said with a smile. “Now remember to eat your good hospital food. And Professor Oak wanted me to tell you to get your Pokemon that was left in the hands of the Professor.”
“Okay then! Thanks nurse!” Jamie said, hastily running out his hospital room.
Jamie eventually made it to Professor Oak’s laboratory, completely ignoring the abandoned house across the street. Jamie ran to the backyard. “Bulbasaur!! I’m back!” Jamie said, calling out for his Bulbasaur.
“Buuuuuuuuulba. Buuuuuuuulba!” Bulbasaur said with its stupid, raspy voice, crying its eyes out believing its trainer Jamie was dead.
“Bulbasaur! I’m here now! I’m alright!” Jamie said to his Bulbasaur.
“Bulba!” Bulbasaur said, smiling to see its trainer indeed alright.
“Alright Bulbasaur, our adventure starts now! I hope we can make it to a hostel in Viridian by late-night. We don’t want to miss out on nothing!” Jamie said. Jamie and his Bulbasaur then began their magnificent journey through the World of Pokemon.
“Okay, really John. Both of us are better now. Do we really need to still be here?” Psycho said as the credits of Spongebob Squarepants played on their hospital Tv.
“Yeah, I agree. And being able to watch endless cartoons does get boring...” John said, agreeing.
“Plus, we gotta get back on our quest. And I haven’t heard from Yahoe in awhile...” Psycho said.
“Where the heck does Yahoe go anyway?” John asked.
“I dunno, cryptozoological animals are like that, how they vanish and such. You and me are only of a few who have actually seen it.” Psycho said. “And remember, nobody really knows if it is a Pokemon.”
“Shit, I’ve had enough.” John said.
“Me too.” Psycho said. “Its felt like weeks since we were last IN a Helicopter. Lets bust out.”
“Yeah, lets. I know just how to do it.” John said, taking out a Poke Ball. “Go Mankey!”
“Mankey!” Mankey said, happy to see John.
“Alright Mankey, we gotta escape from this hospital. Use Punch the Ground!” John commanded.
“Mankey!” Mankey said, and it then started to punch the ground, forming a deep hole.
“Alright! We can escape with this!” Psycho said.
“Hey, what’s going on in here?” Said a nurse, walking into the hospital room. “Oh wow! You’ve damaged hospital property!” she said, noticing the hole in the floor.
“Crap, go Slowpoke!” John said, throwing another Poke Ball.
“Slowpoke!” Slowpoke said.
“Slowpoke, use Disintegration Beam!” John commanded.
“Slow!” Slowpoke said, and it then shot a laser from its eyes, striking the nurse, who then started to disintegrate from the bottom up.
“Aaagh! Oh my God! What are you doing to me!” The nurse said, shrieking, and then fully forming into a pile of dust. Psychos jaw dropped.
“Okay, lets go.” John said, and he and his Mankey and Slowpoke jumped into the hole.
“Oh my God!” Psycho said, walking up to the pile of dust. “I cannot let this have happened. Its the least I could do for the Pokemon world.” Psycho said, and he held out his hand, and transformed all his fingers into test tubes containing a clear liquid. Psycho then poured the contents of the test tubes onto the pile of dust. “I hope these KO-35 Tears will heal you.” Psycho said, and he then jumped into the hole. The pile of dust started to glow white.
In Jason and Adam’s room, the two were still pretty quiet. Jason continued staring out of the window and Adam was enjoying retro programming via DVDs. Just then, Adam and Jason’s Doctor walked in, along with a Nurse Joy from the local Pokemon Center.
“Did you find out what was wrong with Mewtwo?” Jason very hastily asked the moment he saw the Nurse Joy.
“Yes, we did.” Nurse Joy responded. “We discovered your Mewtwo had been developing a deep body infection brought on by the Poison he succumbed but was never healed.”
“Wh-AAT?” Jason said, distinctively. “Mewtwo was poisoned? How?”
“I wish I could answer that. Apparently, the Poison was never healed. Your Mewtwo knows the move Recover so I figured you only relied on that, never properly healing your Pokemon at a Pokemon Center. The Poison stayed in Mewtwo’s body, growing.” Nurse Joy said.
“Most unfortunate.” The Doctor said. “You will be happy to know Mewtwo is alive and alright.”
“That is correct, you will be able to pick it up from the Pokemon Center after you are discharged.” Nurse Joy said with a smile.
“Thank you Nurse Joy.” Adam said. Jason responded to that statement by again staring angrily and evilly, at Adam, as if he didn’t want Adam to know all this.
The Nurse Joy and the Doctor then walked out of the room. Jason laid in his bed, venting his anger to himself.
“Adam, so you’ve won the Pokemon League and are now a Pokemon Master... but I still have my Legendaries and my Secret Pokemon. I also have many, many Secrets nobody knows about. But I am not pleased at all. I was going to fucking win the Pokemon League. I was so certain of it. I won’t forgive, or forget this Adam, you fucking fuck.” Jason ranted.
“Jason...” Adam said.
