Chapter 81: The End of the Orchestration

Adam was traveling through the caves of Victory Road. The Pokemon League was getting ready to start, and he had to hurry. However, he had a side-quest. The Victory Road Caverns was supposed to be the home of Moltres, the Legendary Fire Bird Pokemon. Adam’s goal was to capture it, hoping to prevent his wicked rival Jason from getting it first, completing his collection of Legendaries. “What is Jason really intending?” Adam asked himself. “The Pokemon League is something I was very much looking forward to, but preventing Jason from capturing Moltres is something that’s just too important right now.” Adam said to himself, as he started to dash forward.
“HEY!” said a trainer who spotted Adam. “Let’s battle!”
“Sorry, I can’t.” Adam said, running off.
“What? Awww...” said the trainer, apparently disappointed he couldn’t have his redundant battle.
“Ugh, these trainers are going to try to stop me!” Adam said. “Let’s go Blaze!” Adam said, taking out the Poke Ball that contained his Charizard. “Alright Blaze, Fly me through the caves!” Adam commanded, and Blaze flew Adam over the caverns.
Adam looked down and saw a trainer waving, hoping Adam would stop for a battle. Adam waved back, and Blaze continued flying.
“Hey! I want to battle you!” Shouted the trainer on the ground, angry that Adam rudely ignored him.
Adam had recalled Blaze, and he was walking on the floor as the tunnels started to get thinner, the temperature had also gotten really hot, indicating to Adam that he was very close to Moltres’s chamber...
“ULTRA BALL, GO!” Shouted an echoing voice.
“Oh no!” Adam said, as he sprinted down the tunnel and into the chamber. Adam witnessed the Legendary Fire Bird Moltres convert into Yellow energy and into an Ultra Ball. Jason had thrown the Ultra Ball, and he had a wicked, smug grin on his face. The Ultra Ball that contained Moltres shook on the ground, but eventually pinged to indicate a successful capture.
“No, NO!” Adam said. “I wanted to get Moltres! Why are you hogging up all the Legendaries, Jason!?”
“Isn’t my plan obvious?” Jason answered. “I’m pretty much just being a big dick to everyone! I pretty much murdered Andy, and I’ve gotten the other “J Name” under my control...”
“Jason... you are disgusting.” Adam said. “It was I that introduced you to all the other trainers, but all you did was use them, until you decided you no longer needed them. You tossed away your friendships like they were garbage.”
Jason responded with a wicked grin. “You’re just jealous. I know everything. I know all the Secrets.” Jason said. “I discovered Mewthree and Mewfour, and it was my actions that caused them to be released into the wild.” Jason took a Poke Ball out of his belt. “And now Adam, I challenge you to a Pokemon Battle.”
“Fine.” Adam said.
“Squigglystuff, I chose you!” Adam said, throwing his Poke Ball.
“Wigglytuff!” said Squigglystuff, who was not dead, but was now a Wigglytuff!”
“Hahahaha!” Jason laughed wickedly. “Lets go you!” he said, throwing a Poke Ball...
Chell
Ice/Rock
The evolved form of Frostee. It is a skinny figure made of Ice. Its inner body is pure rock.
“Wigglytuff!” Squgglystuff said, ready to fight for revenge.
“Chell!” Chell said.
“Chell! Use Ice Punch!” Jason commanded.
“Chell!” Chell said, as it quickly lunged to Squigglystuff with its ice fist.
“Quick Squigglystuff, jump up!” Adam commanded. “Land on Chell, but use protection!” Squigglystuff acknowledged, and put on some gloves and boots, landing on Chell’s Ice body but not freezing.
“Crap, Chell, its behind you!” Jason said.
“Squigglystuff, lets use Fire Blast!” Adam commanded.
“Wiiggg!” Squigglystuff said, as it blasted big flames from its mouth.
“Cheeeeelllllll!” Chell said, in pain as it melted into liquid.
“I can’t believe that!” Jason said. “I have all the Secret Pokemon, and aren’t they all supposed to be super strong?” Jason said very naively.
“You don’t understand it that much Jason.” Adam said. “You’re an empty enemy. You weren’t supposed to become so powerful. We all were totally expecting Alex to be the bad guy.”
“The big difference is, I am so powerful.” Jason said. “Lets go!” he said, throwing another Poke Ball.
Searbortooth
Fire/Rock
Sabre’s evolved form. It is a big tiger, has rock platings, and very large, razor sharp teeth.
“Haha. I know what to use for this one. You’re in BIG trouble now!” Adam said with a cocky grin on his face. “Togepi, I choose you!” Adam said, throwing out a Poke Ball.
The energy that came out of the Poke Ball was formed into a figure, but it was that of a half egg shell.
“What? Togepi!?” Adam said with concern.
A skinny figure with spiky hair emerged from inside the shell. It resembled a Togepi, but its body was extremely skinny and emaciated. “To...ki.” it said, somehow miraculously still alive.
“Hahaha, what a moron!” Jason said. “You didn’t even feed your Togepi?” he asked. “Togepi is just a baby Pokemon, it cannot fend for itself.”
“I... I....” Adam said, and he recalled the time his newly hatched Togepi using “Annoy Cry” and all the dead birds and bugs. He actually believed this was a good thing and didn’t stop to realize why Togepi was crying in the first place.

“Hey Jake, it’s Adam! Guess what I have?” Adam asked Jake.
“Uh... a Human-Type Pokemon?” Jake randomly guessed.
“Nope! A Togepi!” Adam boasted, still unaware he is being a terrible father to his Togepi.
“A Togepi? Oh, big deal. Those Pokemon are weak as hell.” Jake responded.
“Weak? Don’t be so dumb Jake, Togepi can kill you!” said a completely deluded Adam. Jake just smirked and laughed, in his head, he imagined a blood-splattered Togepi walking up a stairway carrying a kitchen knife, intent on stabbing whoever comes its way.
“Well Adam, enjoy your murdering Togepi!” Jake said, and hung up.
“This is nonsense, Searbortooth, you’ve found your dinner.” Jason said.
“Seeaaarrr!” Searborthooth said, as it shot to Togepi, and chomped its body apart, and swallowing it.
Togepi had been killed.
“You killed it!” Adam said, enforcing the Pokemon’s death.
“Stop moping and show me your last Pokemon.” Jason said. “The Pokemon League is waiting for me to conquer it.”
“I cannot believe you.” Adam said. “You really have changed everything that was supposed to be...”
“Alright, fine, I’ll go first. Either way, I win.” Jason said, throwing his last Poke Ball.
Rapte’Rex
Dragon/Rock
The evolved form of Rapte’. It is a very large Dinosaur Pokemon, with orange skin and rock platings across its back. Its teeth were made of pure, razor sharp rock.
“Ohhhhh CRAP!” Adam said, bewildered by all the power Jason has got. “I’m gonna rely on you.” he said, taking out a Poke Ball and looking at it. “I choose you, ‘Lectric!”
“Raiiiichu!” said ‘Lectric, Adam’s Raichu.
“We gotta figure out its weakness quick. ‘Lectric, use Torpedo!” Adam commanded.
“Raiiiii!” ‘Lectric said, as it charged its body with electricity, and then shot as an electric torpedo to Rapte’Rex.
“RAPTE!” Roared Rapte’Rex, as it swung its tail in as ‘Lectric launched toward it, smashing ‘Lectric onto the back wall.
“Oh no! ‘Lectric!” Adam shouted with concern. “Looks like we are going to have to try something else...”
“Raichu!” ‘Lectric said, agreeing.
“Alright ‘Lectric, I got an idea, use Torpedo one more time!” Adam commanded.
“Raaiiii!” ‘Lectric said again, as it charged its body with electricity and launched as an electric torpedo at Rapte’Rex.
“Use Thunderbolt on the ground!” Adam commanded.
“Raichu!” ‘Lectric said, launching thunderbolts onto the ground, propelling it up and over Rapte’Rex.
“Now use Quick Attack on Rapte’Rex, and grab onto it!” Adam commanded!
“Raichu!” ‘Lectric said, and launching its Quick Attack and latching onto Rapte’Rex.
“Rapte! Rapte!” said Rapte’Rex.
“What is this? There is no way my Secret Pokemon is going to lose!” Jason said, apparently pissed off.
“Use Thunderbolt!” Adam commanded.
“Raichu!” said ‘Lectric. “RAAAAAIIIIII” it said, electrocuting Rapte’Rex, causing normal damage.
“Now, quick, while Rapte’Rex is reeling, climb into its mouth!” Adam commanded.
“Raichu!” ‘Lectric said, as it quickly crawled into Rapte’Rex’s mouth, as the Secret Pokemon closed his mouth hastily, and in fear.
“Thunder!” Adam commanded, the strongest Electric attack.
*BOOM*
Rapte’Rex had laid collapsed on the cavern floor, it seemed it Fainted but it was possibly dead. ‘Lectric stood victorious.
“... Wow. Well, I still win 2-3.” Jason said with a wicked smile.
“Jason...” Adam said. “It wasn’t supposed to be like this... You’ve become too powerful. You have captured all four Official Kanto Legendaries!”
“None for you.” Jason said, like a snotty little child.
“... You.” Adam said, under his breath, completely furious to see the kid who was once his best friend be like he was now.
“Now if you’ll excuse me, I have the Pokemon League to conquer.” Jason said, taking out one of his Poke Balls. “Go, Rapidash!” he said, throwing it.
“NYAAAAAA!” Rapidash neighed. Jason mounted his Rapidash, and Rapidash started to gallop away, when it suddenly stopped, with Jason looking behind back to Adam.
“Oh, by the way Adam.” Jason said. “I have Mewtwo, the most Powerful Pokemon in existence, the very Pokemon cloned through artificial enhancements to be the most Powerful Pokemon in existence. There is nothing that’s going to stop me from winning the Pokemon League, nothing.” Jason finished, and he galloped away on his Rapidash.
Adam stood there in the dark caves of Victory Road, tears wallowing up in his eyes.

On Pokemon Battles

Ever since I started this fanfic, you might have noticed I never have had a real writing format for Pokemon Battles. I resort to making up moves, create unrealistic scenarios, or even blatantly skim right through them.

Well, I guess this might stem from the fact that even from the beginning of the Pokemon franchise, I found the idea of constantly battling Pokemon over and over was rather boring. Hence, writing Pokemon Battles are just grating for me. Thankfully, this whole story isn't centered around Pokemon Battling, but a mysterious rise of power and "Secrets" (which was basically inspired by things like "Poke-Gods" hidden cities and the like, in the main games).

However, as it's still taking place in the world of Pokemon, I have to include battles every now and then.

Currently, I am writing at the "Pokemon League Arc" and as the name implies, Pokemon Battles are going to go on. I'm pretty much glossing over most of them, however. Only two battles are going to be really important here.

After I get those chapters done, I should be able to get back into full swing!
